Hello Kitty Cape High Series Book 3 eBook RJ Ross

This series is great about the world and the characters in it. With the wonderful banter one would expect from a super hero story. This time our main focus is on Adanna "Cub" Panterus, Zoe and Sunny's missing mother, and a mysterious villain called the Collector.
I really liked the dynamics between the teen characters. With so much room for these characters to grow, and more characters on the way, I can't wait to see how things parse out.
Also, getting to see Nico be completely unsure of himself once Summer shows up is beautiful. It shows just how much depth every character has potential for.
Some of the narrative and exposition felt choppy and that effected the pacing a bit. There were also moments when I wasn't clear on what was said in a sentence because it was oddly phrased.
In general this is a fun series that I can recommend to younger readers.
I look forward for more.

Hello Kitty Cape High Series Book 3 eBook RJ Ross Reviews

Solid Story for the third installment of the Cape High Series. I really enjoy how R.J. Ross tells each "main" characters story in a different book allowing for a great development and fantastic overall plot movement. It is an original take on the superhero theme and very enjoyable.
Teenagers- next generation of super Heroes or Villains, building a new school where they can come together and learn how to use their abilities. Love the "kitty" and how she changes in perception about the roles of hero vs, villain, and how they can be both friends and mortal enemies! Looking for the fourth book, and who the new kids are going to be!
This book focused on Adanna, who is a shapeshifter and is just learning to handle shifting into a leopard at Cape High. I love that these books focus on a new character each time but still has all the other characters. We get to see further insight into the superheroes and villains and I am LOVING Nico and Cape High. Can't wait to see what happens with the overarching plot of the really evil guys.
This story really introduces you to some great new characters in Ms. Ross' universe. The Panther, a 14th generation super villain. This story is about his daughter. While her universe has 'real' super villains... she (Ms. Ross) is fond of saying something along the lines of 'The super hero game is more photo op than black op'.* Meaning, for the most part, it's a public show like the WWE. This story has much more action than the previous two stories and is much harder to put down than its predecessors.
With this book Ross reaches the best use of the formats the author has chosen. The best mix of seriousness and comedy and the best use of existing characters and new characters. The rest is the series through the fire book are good, but not as good as this one. If you are into superhero stories and if you are into the teen superhero school sub category this serious is pretty much the best I have found if you are looking for a lighter more fun take on things. If you are looking for serious darker fare you may want to.look elsewhere. Please note that while did not give it 5 stars that is nothing against the book that is just because I don't give out 5 stars very much unless something is perfect.
Awww. this was a story that definitely played to "cute"

Continuing the tale from America's Grandson, but now following teenage hopeful "supervillian" Adanna eldest child of Panther, who comes from a long line of supervillains. Adanna believes that her destiny is to be another villain despite the fact that anyone reading between the lines soon realizes that for her father being a villain is more of a strange game than a serious pursuit. Adanna eventually notices that the heroes are more than fond of her father and speak of him with more than passing respect.

We also get to finally see the twins mother escape from her captivity and how that throws the dynamics of the group off.

This is a very solid addition to the series. It does play up the "cute" a bit too much at times, and I was a bit frustrated with the almost willful blindness of some characters, but this is probably the best in the series. It's fun, fast paced and has characters you can't help but like. I'm definitely interested in the next book in the series.
So much of what makes Cape High so wonderful and better than most YA super hero fiction makes its debut in this book. Some of it is narrative choices that are used going forward, some is setting relationships firmly, and then there's the introduction of a slew of characters, most of which will further enhance and make this series special when they get their turn in the spotlight in later books!

Now if we could just get Ms Ross to stop using the word 'drawls' on every other page this series would be perfect!
